The Austrian Roadmap for research and development in the area of energy-efficient products and components contains key areas for research, but also specific accompanying measures.
Thus, this R&D Roadmap shall be a viable instrument for the Klima- und Energiefonds to support the Austrian manufacturing industry and research.

Goals
The goal of this project supported by the Austrian Klima- und Energiefonds was the preparation of a roadmap to support the Austrian manufacturing industry and research to develop innovative electrical products and components. This goal could only be reached through the active interest of manufacturing industry and research. Only the participation of these two sectors enabled the identification of future key research areas and respective priorities of necessary public financial support for energy research.
Vision for 2030
In the course of the roadmap production, a common vision has been developed with specific companies and research institutions to identify key research research areas as well as a specific roadmap until 2030. Additionally, future markets for the Austrian manufacturing industry and suppliers to manufacturing have been identified. Optimum framework conditions for the promotion of manufacturing and public research have also been defined.
